Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Banyule Community Health.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people, gain confidence and feel good about supporting the community. It's also a good way to build skills for work or share your experience with others.

Our volunteers help:

•    Organise social groups and activities
•    Provide administrative support to our staff teams
•    Welcome clients to our social groups and support them in their activities
•    Drive clients to appointments
•    And much, much more!

Here are some of our volunteer programs:

Volunteer with the Angels
The 3081 Angels meet every Friday to collect, sort and delivery children’s goods from local community members to deliver to families in need. Can you spare a few hours a month to help?

Volunteer with Peer Connection
Peer Connection volunteers have either experienced gambling harm themselves or have been impacted by another person’s gambling and offer one to one telephone peer support to others who are still struggling to stop or control their gambling. Are you available for around 3 hours per week to support others?

Volunteer with ReSPIN
ReSPIN volunteer community educators have either experienced gambling harm themselves or have been impacted by another person’s gambling and share their story of gambling harm and recovery with community and corporate groups, health care services and the media to educate, influence change and decrease stigma. Interested in becoming a ReSPIN volunteer?

Volunteer with Himilo
The Himilo Homework Club provides after school homework help and learning support to Prep to Year 12 students local to West Heidelberg, with a focus on the Australian Somali community. We work with young people and their families to increase learner confidence, motivation and outcomes. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team to meet community need for this in demand program. Volunteers receive training and support and contribute 1.5 hours of their time per week during school terms. Get in touch today to learn more.
